Colt Lightning Pump Rifle 44-40. High end 94%+.Excellent mechanical function and very good, bright and shinny bore with strong rifling, with only a small amount of black powder corrosion. The barrel address markings are sharp and crisp. The rampant Colt on the receiver is crisp and sharp. The wood is excellent and the serial number is 27017 so it was made in 1888.
Colt Lettered, shipped to Montgomery Wards in Chicago in 1888. In canvas/leather case.
