According to Colt'spage this gun was manufactured in 1917, however in fine print they say it could be earlier. Colt also mentions that it is the first year of the National Match guns. serial number C 90092.
Recently I had the gun professionally restored from one end to the other, the restoring Company utilized all of the data in the Colt archives for the corect texture and color of the original Colt back in 1911. From the pictures I think that you will agree that the finished product is nothing less than beautiful!
The gun has been in my Family for several generations and needed some work, there was no sign of rust or pitting just rough looking.
Yes, the grips are after market Sambar stag with the Colt logo, the original double diamond grips are readily available.
This Colt is quite a piece of American pride!
