At some point during WWII it was captured from Japanese forces and used by a guerilla leader who carved his name in the stock, Captain Vivora Sam. After the war the guerilla forces were disarmed and and an enormous stockpile of weapons was assembled. This rifle was presented to a U.S. Army Captain then serving in Vietnam circa 1966, it was a gift from then president Ferdinand Marcos of the Philipines. A letter from that officer Lt.Colonel retired will be included. The rifle is a 4th series #99692, Nogoya Arsenal, mum intact, it has a tag on it stating it came from Luzon I have shown this gun to men from three large houses, they have seen tens of thousands of firearms, but none with this provenance.
