Description:
Winchester Model 21 20 Gauge Side by Side
28" IM/M, 100% DOUBLE BARREL GUN

General Specs: Winchester, Year 1954, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 10oz, SxS
Serial Number: 28574

Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself.  With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use.   From 1930 to 1980, they only made about 2900 twenty-gauge guns in all grades.  Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN.  Most every M21 20ga. you find will weigh between 6 ¾ to 7 1/4lbs. and feel like a heavy target gun, and they do well in that role.  I purposely search out the lightweight guns that feel lively in hand and will not drag you down as you traverse hill and dale all day long after upland game with fine dogs and friends.  This fine Model 21, sn28574 built in 1954, is one of the light ones at 6lbs. 10oz. and comes with Cody Firearms Museum factory documentation showing it shipped just as she is now, with 28” barrels choked IM/M, 2 ¾” chambers, and absolutely stunning 3x figured walnut.  The gun is in 100% condition, including mechanics, all metal finishes, and wood.  The screws and checkering are flawless, the bores are mirror shiny, and the stock dimensions are 14 x 2 ½ x 1 ½ x 1/8” cast off with the factory buttplate.  There are a lot of Model 21’s for sale right now, but most have had the stocks or chokes altered, have aftermarket pads, and plain-jane wood.  This gun is the best value on the market and if you look closely at the specs and photos, you will likely agree.  This gun is ready for your summer clay target games to get you ready for the upcoming upland hunting season, and this is your next gun!  Thanks for looking.
