Description:
Winchester Model 70 in 225 Winchester caliber, made in 1965 and it's in fine condition. This is a scarce caliber only offered for a few years, it's the stanard model 70, they also made the 225's in the Heavy barrel. It's had the sights removed and scope mounts and rings added otherwise it's all original, it retains over 95% of it's original blued finish on the metal, the wear it has is a light amount of blue worn of on the edge of the muzzle and the blue is thinning on the bolt knob. The wood retains over 95% of it's original varnish but it has a few indentations, these are on the left side of the butt stock where there is 2 that run from the butt plate towards the top of the stock, haven't taken any of the varnish off and there is one below the reciever on the left side that has taken some varnish off but only a small aomunt. The stock is very solid and still looks great, it has the original butt plate, pistol grip cap and sling swivels. The bore is excellent and the action works like new, I don't think it's been shot very much.
