Description:
This is a high condition blue Forehand & Wadsworth New Model Army single action in 44 S&W Russian caliber. It is serial number 85, and the frame, cylinder and grips are matching numbers. Less than 1000 were made and most were nickel. Blue is rare. These were considered are secondary Martial Arm. This single action retains 86% original blue finish with an excellent bore and very good, crisp and tight mechanical function. The wood is very good. This is a very rare single action revolver and was made late 1870s-1880s.
