Description:
This is a rare 1945 post-war (WWII) P38 made in the Mauser factory while under French operation. It is in fair condition with original metal grips. All numbers match and the phosphate finish is believed to be original to the gun. There are no import marks. There is one German proof mark on barrel, stamped WaA135 which was a Mauser factory proof stamp. The right side of the slide reflects the French "rounded star" proof mark, and there is a French "clover" proof mark on the frame underneath the grips. Based on the serial number block, it was likely made in late May or June of 1945.
