Ottoman Empire flintlock Holster Pistol. Barrel length 13½” overall length 21”. Beautiful silver wire inlays on the stock with various types of silver leaves and flowers. The barrel has silver overlay of Islamic quarter moon with panoplies of arms, flags, cannons and scimitars. The gun is in excellent condition and is a tour d’ force in silver wire inlay work. The action works perfectly. Note: Not that anyone would consider ever firing this pistol, that possibility is precluded due to the pistol not having a breech plug. Apparently removed to prevent firing. This was made as a presentation pistol and the lack of the breech plug supports that. (Internal plug and requires disassembly to look for it).
