This is a beautiful and scarce Colt Gold Cup Elite National Match .45 caliber 1911 with the original serial numbered box and all the paperwork. This factory 2-tone Colt appears to be unfired since leaving the factory and rates 99%. It has apparently spent it's entire life in storage. Colt's serial number data base dates this pistol to being manufactured in 1987. The factory gloss blue finish on the slide is like-new, as is the stainless finish on the frame and remainder of the small parts. The bore is minty and bright, with rifling that is still sharp and crisp. These "Elite" Gold Cup National Match pistols were the best 1911 target model that Colt offered and are not encountered very often these days as not too many were sold when new. As mentioned previously it is complete with all the original materials it left the factory with, but the box shows some handling and storage wear. This can be seen in the pictures provided. This Colt would be an excellent addition to any collection, and it would be nearly impossible to upgrade in condition from this example.
