Here is another piece of history from the late 1800's Very nice Springfield US Model 1878 appears to be all original and in very good condition.

Caliber Info: .45-70.
Chambers: Single shot trap door.
Metal Condition: Semi gloss bluing on the barrel with fading towards the receiver.
Wood Condition: Smooth oiled walnut stock. Very good condition considering the age of the firearm.
Bore Condition: Bright and shiny, rifling is good.
Barrels: 22" round blue barrel.
Triggers: Single trigger with 3 step hammer cocking.
Stock: Smooth oiled walnut stock.

13 1/4 inch LOP.
