Large Frame Allen & Thurber Single Shot Side Hammer Percussion Target Pistol...
Manufactured from the late 1840s to the 1850s, only a few hundred made. Brass blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, which extends back past the hammer to the adjustment screw. The left barrel flat is marked "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST-STEEL". Fitted with a finger rest trigger guard and a pair of smooth WALNUT bag shaped grips. Serial Number 18, with an 10 inch part octagon barrel. ALL Very Good Condition, .41 Caliber... Mechanically Excellent. ( this is the noticeably Larger Frame and Longer Handle )
