Description:
Used. This is an interesting .22 caliber trainer made by the French using captured German machinery. When the French occupied the Mauser factory in Oberndorf in 1945 they continued the production of military weapons until 1946. When the French left they took most of the equipment back to France and destroyed the factory. This rifle seems to be manufactured at the MAS (St. Etienne) arsenal using some leftover Mauser parts. The sights have been altered and are not original to the rifle. The rifle handles well, the bolt is smooth and the magazine inserts and ejects cleanly. An interesting rifle for someone who collects military trainers or for someone looking for a project gun to restore into an original. Magazines are Marked "Mod. 45" and sling is marked "RS402
