#13752, Webley & Scott Ltd. 55, Victoria Street, London, S.W.1: A Small Frame Webley Action Boxlock with the Original Chambers in 250/3000 Savage Hi-Power Made about 1923, 26" Extractor Chopper Lump Barrels with Rib Extension Dolls Head plus Third Bite, London nitro proved, Spring actuated extractor for ease of cartridge case removal, 1/4 rib with 1 standing & 4 folding rear sights, Professionally installed Talley bases & rings with 1" lever quick detachable rings, Weaver 1.5 - 4.5 variable with a duplex reticle, Bushed strikers, Double triggers, Lever forend release, Long trigger guard tang to a steel grip cap, Shadowline cheekpiece, 14 3/4" LOP over a 1' Silvers pad, 8 lbs. 7 oz. & 9 lbs. 5 oz. with the scope mounted, 80% coverage of classic scroll engraving, Reblacked barrels that remain at 97% and don't appear to have been polished as the barrel striking is like new, No case colors remain, The stock & forend have been oiled but not sanded, The checkering is at 95%, The bores remain in excellent plus condition, There is a repair on the upper left edge of the forend wood near the front. Unusual, yes and it represents a classic Webley pre-war double rifle well with a neat cartridge and certainly proper size. I have had other Webley & Scott 250/3000 doubles along with a Westley Richards and a Baker.
