Description:
SOLD TO RS. This nice rifle 7x64 rolled out of the factory in 1964 and straight in to someone's safe. The rifle has the factory drills for the rear base but never been drilled on the top for the front scope. This rifle could easily be fit for the readily available Redfield mounts or left factory original for collectability. The wood is pretty much perfect with just a couple if pressure marks from other rifles in the safe. The barrel condition is like-new and probably just test fired at the factory with no indication of real use. The blue is brilliant and clean with just a few trace amounts of dried oil and blemishes that could be rubbed to perfection if desired. I chose to leave the rifle exactly as found because of it's otherwise pristine condition. I purchased this rifle years ago with the intention of drilling and tapping to use as an elk hunting rifle. I do have other hunting rifles that are already fit with scopes so I've decided to leave this beauty intact for collectability sake.
