Description:
Here is your chance to add one of the illustrious magnum calibers to your collection. The 264 Win Mag is very popular and hard to find for sale because it is such a great big game caliber. This rifle has an extra heavy barrel which I have discovered is unique to the .264 and .257 Weatherby magnum class rifles. This information comes from old advertisments readily available on eBay. I don't have any history about this rifle other than buying it quite a few years ago online from South Carolina, I believe. The metal and bore are in good condition although the rifle obviously was used for hunting and not a safe queen. There are a few minor scuffs and rubs on the metal but no rust, pits or corrosion. The wood has typical dents and dings as seen in the picture with some wear on the finish but it still looks and functions great. The wood also has beautiful tiger stripe figures which do show somewhat in the pictures but it looks nicer in person. This rifle has Austria's finest swing-off mounts which were also special order items and top-of-the-line. There is a simple Redfield scope which works fine and period correct. It's difficult to describe how impressive this rifle feels due to it's heavy barrel and extra wide body found in the magnum rifles.
