STILL AVAILABLE! The Mannlicher Schoenauer 338 Win Mag is pretty much the ideal big game rifle for hunting in the western United States. If you have ever dreamed of chasing an elk around the woods with your MS magnum, now is your chance. This is the American equivelant of the 8x68S which is more popular in Europe. I do recall that this rifle came from a hunting guide from Alaska and has been used to take caribou, grizzly bears and probably more. It comes with a fixed Weaver 6x scope and Pachmeyr low-swing side mount. The rifle has been drilled and tapped so you could easily fit it with readily available Redfield style mounts if desired. I personally would upgrade the mounts and scope and this would be an absolutely fantastic elk or bear rifle for your next big game hunt. The wood and metal does have some rubs and dings, looks as if it was used on some rather amazing adventures in Alaska. It's still in good shape and the bore is excellent. The rear folding leaf sight has been removed to accommodate the scope bell but yes it is included in the .
