Stevens 311 A in near new condition. Stored for last 40 years in original Redhead canvas case and is virtually brand new. No dents, nicks or scrapes on wood. Block and action are like new, bore is shiny and smooth with NO rust or corrossion. Stock has lost varnish is small area near block during cleaning, two small rust spots on barrell- one near muzzle and the other about 2" down from muzzle. Rust is removed but blemishs remain. Small nick on trigger guard- all blemished shown in photos.This is a "C" issue ( no serial number) denoting the 3rd year of manufacture (1952) at Chicopee Falls Mass. facility. All nspector marks match and are clean. This is a rare find and any collector would be proud to display it. You can even shoot it if you want!
Sale also includes two boxes of shells - Winchester Long Range rifled slugs and Western No. 4 shot - I would not recommend using them but they would look very nice in a display case with this shotgun.
