Description:
Offered for your collecting consideration is a Belgian Browning Hi-Power Nickel with gold trigger, "B" medallion walnut grips and adjustable sights, chambered in 9mm parabellum. I am the original owner, not an FFL dealer, who ordered this single action semi-automatic pistol for my personal use in 1984. According to pistol enthusiast and magazine articles of the day, the Browning adjustable sight had the reputation of being difficult to adjust precisely. To remedy this inadequacy, I purchased a state of the art Millett adjustable rear sight, and sent the pistol back to the factory after Browning had agreed, for a fee, to refinish and install the Millett rear sight on the pistol. So, the Millett adjustable sight pictured is factory finished and installed, and the original Browning sight is also included, should you wish to have it reinstalled. Finding another Hi-Power Nickle in such pristine condition would be difficult.
Standard specifications are: Capacity of magazine -13 (with certain brands of ammunition, it is possible to load 14 rounds into the magazine); Overall length - 7 3/4"; Height - 5"; Barrel length - 4 21/32"; Rifling - 6 grooves, right hand twist, 1 in 10"; Weight (unloaded) - 32 ounces; Front sight - fixed 1/8" blade on ramp; Rear sight - Screw adjustable for horizontal and vertical.
This pistol is in excellent+ condition with a perfect bore and no dings, scratches or finish wear on the metal or grips. It has been well cared for, and I estimate having fired it less than 300 times since being purchased. The factory trigger pull is precise, breaking clean with no creep or over travel. Included with the pistol are two Browning factory magazines (on the left in the photo), two high quality aftermarket magazines (on the right in the photo), the original owner's manual, the original Browning back vinyl pistol rug, a tan leather Bianchi #19L Browning Hi-Power lined, thumb snap, right hand holster, a Bianchi X2000 Phantom sholder holster (not shown), and a set of Hogue smooth Goncalo Alves (Tigerwood) hardwood grips.
