Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use. From 1930 to 1980, they only made about 2900 twenty-gauge guns in all grades. Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN. This fine Model 21, sn21109 built in 1950,comes with Cody Firearms Museum factory documentation showing it shipped just as she is now, with 28” barrels choked M/F, 2 ¾” chambers, and absolutely stunning 3x figured walnut. The gun is in 99% factory original condition, including mechanics, all metal finishes, and wood. The screws and checkering are flawless, the bores are mirror shiny, and the stock dimensions are 14” x 2 ½ x 1 9/16” to a Winchester pad. There are a lot of Model 21’s for sale right now, but most have chokes altered, plain-jane wood, 26” barrels with skeet chokes, which are the most numerous of the M21’s. Finding the 28” field choked guns, especially with 99% factory original condition, is the real trick. The shooting public has really started to recognize the special niche that the Model 21 20ga. holds when it comes to hunting hardy birds like pheasants, ducks, and western grouse. The sporting clays crowd loves the Model 21 because they know it does not have to be “babied” and can digest tens of thousands of rounds with little to show for wear. These guns are great investments and will go up significantly in value over the next few years. What a great value we have in this little M21!
