Description:
For sale is this beautiful J.P. Sauer & Sohn Model game scene engraved Model 3000 drilling. The rifle caliber is .222 Rem. and the shotguns are 12 GA X 12 GA. Both shotgun chambers are for 2 ¾” and they are Full/ Modified. The barrel length is 25" and it’s made of Krupp special steel. This gun features a blade front sight with selector operated folding leaf rear sight, satin finished scalloped box-lock action with double bites, and Greener cross-bolt and side clips, and front and rear German claw mounts. The action features cocking indicators, top tang selector and Greener side safety. Full scene engraving features game scenes of fox and ducks on right with deer on left side. Double triggers, and the front trigger is a set trigger. It’s an Extractor gun. Beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock of beautiful European thin shell walnut. Stock features European shadow line cheekpiece, sharp hand checkering, horn grip cap with white line spacer, horn butt-plate with white line spacer, and sling swivel. The LOP is 13 ¼” to the rear trigger and 14 ¼” to the front trigger. All serial numbers are correct and matching. Weight with scope 9 lbs. 5.6 oz. The condition of this drilling is excellent overall with some very minor cosmetic blemishes. The Metal retains 97%+ finish overall and has a bit of surface speckling towards the muzzle. The stock is 97%+ as well with very minor handling marks and some fading of oil finish towards the back (it appears there was a slip-on rubber recoil pad at one point that did this). Mechanics are perfect. Excellent bores. Scope is German Kahles Helia-Super 3-9×40 gloss finish with crosshair and has excellent optics.
