Description:
Imperial German Quill Back Blade. Circia 1880’s – 1890’s. Grosse hilt. Rayskin grip with wire wrap. The wire wrap is broken in a few places. Blade is Elsenhauer steel. Back of blade is marked “M.Nuemann Hoflieferant Berlin”. Lion head pommel has knuckle bow, terminates in mouth. Langet has cross canons, denoting issued to artillery officer. Opposite langet is marked “Gornig”. Knuckle bow has a knight with feathers and armor. Very good overall condition
