Description:
This is by far the most petite 410 side x side hammer shotgun we have ever encountered. Barrel flats bear Belgian blackpower proofs from Liege, and barrels are marked Laminated Steel on the top rib. Barrels are 24 inches in length and have a nice damascus pattern externally with bores with light pitting but very shootable with the correct ammo (2 inch black powder loads). Barrels are 24 inches long and choked improved modified and improved modified. This extra small shotgun is only 38.5 inches in length with double triggers, plain extractor, and a 13 inch length of pull to an FN marked hard rubber buttplate. We believe that FN probably sold this gun as well as guns from other companies during the day, and hence the FN Squirrel buttplate - remember at the time of manufacture FN was a very small company and not the huge conglomerate they are today. In fact Francotte was much larger than FN at the time. The stock and forearm are nicely figured with original checkering and finish and only very light handling marks. THE WEIGHT OF THIS SHOTGUN IS 3 LBS 1.4 OUNCES! An absolutely amazing 410 side by side shotgun.
