Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Often considered a conversion of a percussion revolver, these new models, combining C.B Richards and William Mason's patents, were actually newly manufactured cartridgre models utilizing previously manufactured but not assembled parts. They were assigned a separate serial range, independant of their percussion ancestors, and would lead directly to the solid frame Peacemaker of 1873. Approximatley 3,800 were manufactured in both .38 Rimfire and .38 Centerfire cartidges. This example, serial number 396, is chambered in .38 Rimfire, fully nickel plated and stocked with one piece ivory grips. It retains approximately 80 to 90% of its original nickel finish, has a near perfect cylinder scene, and functions like a new gun. The mechanism is sharp and crisp, with tight lock-up. All numbers match and the grips have turned a beautiful, mellow yellow patina. This is a difficult antique revolver to find in this condition.
