- Barrel address is "Marlin Fire-Arms Co. New-Haven. CT. U.S.A. Pat'd Nov. 6. 1894. May 12. 1896. June 2. 1896"
- All metal has been refinished
- Original walnut stock in good condition with a repair made on forend with minor missing wood and missing 1 screw
- Barrel serial number is 7447F which was common not to match
- Early pre-push button lock
- Proper Marlin hard rubber butt
- Smooth bore is bright and shiny
- Bead front sight
