SOLD...Antique Smith & Wesson 1 ½ .32 caliber center fire. Nice little Smith & Wesson 1 ½ single action . Caliber is the .32 S&W center fire. Has the standard 3” barrel. The S/N is 87781 and all matching of course. The gun shows quite a bit of original nickel finish with the barrel having about 80%, the cylinder at 70% and the frame including the front and rear grip straps at about 90%. The balance of the gun where the nickel has flaked is a brown patina with some small specks of minor surface crud. The good part is it has never been cleaned on or messed with like so many have been over the years. Many of these have been cleaned to blend with the nickel finish better but this one has not and has been left all original and untouched. The mechanics are excellent. Crisp and tight as a new gun. Indexes perfectly. NO cylinder wobble or movement. Tight as the day it was made. Rock solid barrel to frame fit at the latch and the hinge. Excellent markings. Hammer still shows very strong case colors on the left side and the rear. Screw heads are still crisp and sharp but the hinge screw shows some turning but nothing burred up from abuse at all. Grips are excellent as well still showing all the fine checkering and some luster with NO cracks or chips and a perfect snap on factory fit. The bore is excellent and near mint bright and shiny with a couple small specks of roughness only that might clean out.. Outstanding bore on this little gun. The chambers are excellent and bright also. Very well taken care of after firing with black powder. All in all a very nice and crisp little S&W pocket revolver that shows a little normal use but never abused and well taken care of over all these years.
