H.L.V. Fine Guns is proud to present to the market this Saginaw Gear Grand Rapids M1 Carbine. This stunning carbine is a First Block production carbine. The Underwood's barrel date is 8-43. The Carbines serial number is 1816711. It has the oval cut high wood stock. This near new carbine has the correct marked stock and handguard. The buttplate is I.P. marked which is correct for this time frame. All the other parts are S'G' marked and correct for the serial number range and date. The magazine is also correctly coded for this carbine. The front and rear sight are original to this gun and are not replacements.. The stock and handguard retain all of the original finish. The military finished metal parts retain all of it's finish. This Carbine shows very little use or handling. The original sling and oiler is also in near new condition. The barrel is bright and shows hardly any firing. This carbine is a amazing survivor that still is in it's original as issued condition! Saginaw Gear Grand Rapids is the second rarest Carbine for the collector to find. The total production of Grand Rapids carbines is 2% of the total carbine production during World War 2.
