Description:
This Winchester Model 1885 High Wall lever action falling block style single shot rifle comes in .38-55 Cal.  It has a 30 inch octagon barrel.  The .38-55 Cal. was introduced in 1884.  An enduring classic cartridge it can do all things well in the hands of a good shot.  This rifles barrel and receiver are in very good condition with very nice patina.  The forearm and buttstock are smooth grip walnut and do have a few fine cracks.  This rifle comes with dies, a hand held bullet maker, 65 brass casings in both .375 and .30-30 cal and a folder containing much information on the gun, cartridge, reloading and prior target use and load data.

Metal Condition: Very good. Nice patina. Light wear and handling marks. Barrel has a little minor pitting outside.
Wood Condition: Good with light handling marks. Fine crack in forearm right side at barrel. Cracks behind top and bottom tangs. Crack at comb.
Bore Condition: Very good.
Barrels: 30 inch octagon.
Stock: Smooth grip walnut pistol grip.
