Description:
Available for purchase is a very special M1 Garand.  The first I have ever handled and the best I have ever seen.  A documented DCM National Match Type 2 M1 Garand.  Comes with a copy of a letter from Nina Michaels, General Mgr of CMP South, showing that it was purchased thru the Civilian Marksmanship Program in 1967.  Also a copy of the original Rifle Sales Record from the Ordnance Corps.  This is the finest condition M1 Garand that I have ever held.  It's simply stone new.  Possibly never fired since it was built.  The stock is hand numbered to the rec'r in the barrel channel.  The trigger group is also hand numbered by the same hand inside of the base of the trigger housing.  Barrel is "in-the-white".  It is stamped NM on the left side near the muzzle, as is the RA operating rod, the windage knob and the base of the hooded rear sight.  The SA 4/52 barrel is also properly NM marked under the oprod, visible when the bolt is locked back.  The stock is also NM bedded, just as it should be, top and bottom.  Match quality trigger as well.  Stock is also stamped with a serriffed P in a circle and the DOD stamp.  Impossible to upgrade this rifle.  It is that nice.
Shipping fully insured will be $100, also there is a 3% surcharge for using a CC.  We recommend this item be shipped in a hard case.  $20.  In order to protect your investment, all long guns over $500 must be shipped in a hard case.  Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case.  Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm.  For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment.  These numbers are for shipping to the lower 48.  There is also a 3% surcharge for customers using a credit card on internet sales.  Thank you!
