Description:
U.S. Model 1879 Trapdoor rifle. Metal has 70% of the original blue with the remainder turning to a smooth patina, the lock has 30% or so of the original blue mixed with patina. The breechblock has turned to a brown and silver patina. Wood is untouched and cartouche is sharp and marked “1879”. Bore is excellent and the action works perfectly.
