Available for purchase is this very nice used Winchester 42, chambered in .410. Born in 1941, you can both appreciate this one at home with a glass and a good cigar, and take it out for some doves in the morning. It is not perfect, but it is in well above average condition. It appears that a previous owner put a coat of urethane or other sealant on the wood, likely to ensure against water damage. The grain is clear and beautiful, but is sealed for the most part. I've looked carefully, and can find no cracks whatsoever. Has the original plastic Winchester buttplate. Numbers match of course, front and back. Barrel is nice and straight, with no dents or bulges. I'll take a chance and say the blueing is 90%+, with consistant high edge wear overall and no damage from assembly/dissassembly. This is an honest 42 that you can hang on your wall and admire and go kill some birds with it the next day. In order to protect your investment, all long guns over $500 must be shipped in a hard case. Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case. Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm. For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment.
