Description:
Kolar Skeet/Sporting  SALE PENDING

Per Kolar, it was made August, 2010.  I bought it in like new condition from Paxton Arms a couple of years later and have shot less than 4,000 shells through it since then.  I’m a casual, noncompetitive shooter and treat it carefully when I shoot and I have always cleaned and lubricated it after shooting.  Not that it matters but I don’t think I’ve ever shot it without the sub-gauge tubes.

On weight: per the postal scale at my local post office, which rounds up or down to the nearest ounce, the weight of the gun with the 20 gauge tubes installed is 9 pounds, 6 ounces.   If you accept Kolar's best guess that the average weight of a tube set is 10 ounces depending on barrel lenght and bore diameter, then the weight of the gun without tubes is about 8 pounds 12 ounces, or 8.75 pounds.  With the tubes installed, the balance point is approximately 3/8ths of an inch forward of the hinge pin; without, it's right on the hinge pin.

It came original with the "Stage II" or upgraded trigger assembly and it has worked flawlessly.

The barrels are .750 bore and 28” in length if you were to use flush choke tubes, however, with the extended choke tubes it came with and the sub-gauge tubes they’re functionally 28 ¾”.    There is a "rub" mark in the matte finish on the right side of the barrels ahead of the fore-end - shown in one of the images.

On the wood: the length of pull is 14 ½” with the trigger in approximately the middle of its adjustable travel.  The stock has a factory adjustable comb, a noticeable right hand palm swell, and it has a slight cast off/toe out for right hand shooter.  The fore-end is the European tapered style - it has the only blemishes on the wood- two very slight depressions shown in one of the images, on the bottom contour on the forward end.

It comes with the Kolar embossed/embroidered Americase in excellent condition (a few minor trunk/safe dings on the outside but clean inside with no staining, wear, or tears, locks fully functional), a full set of Kolar sub-gauge tubes with skeet chokes installed, tools for sub-gauge tube installation and removal, hexes for the stock bolt and comb adjustment, and choke tubes for the 12 gauge barrels, (0, 5, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 thousandths of constriction).

Price is $7,500 plus actual shipping to your FFL.  Three day inspection – full refund less shipping if returned in the same condition in which it was sent.  I don’t think you will find a nicer Kolar for less and new Kolars have become very spendy indeed.  Feel free to contact me with questions, offers, or for additional pictures.  Thanks.
