Very early 3rd year production Frontier Six Shooter before the etched barrel panel, Stamped correctly in tiny letters side of trigger guard and on underside of barrel at the breech. All matching in the 66,xxx serial range including the cylinder. . All original parts except grips which are perfect fit black powder era but slightly later. Re-nickel plated overall and barrel shortened to 4 ¾”. Good markings except barrel address which is faint. Working order and good bore. We checked with Colt and were informed that this is a “NO RECORD” gun. Scarce early .44-40. First year as 1878. SOLD Antique: Yes |
