Description: Winchester Model 1894 SRC (Saddle Ring Carbine) in .25-35 WCF. 1904 Date of manufacture. In fair condition overall, unfortunately the end of the hammer was lopped off, and a piece of walnut in a diamond shape was fitted into the stock on the left side. Some blue remaining, greyed bore, lots of dings, the stocks have scratches and scrapes throughout but only one crack. More details in the bullet points. There are 10 photographs within this ad for the rifle, which all can be viewed and supersized at Cabela's Gun Library . SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: 1904 - S# 300137 Caliber Info: .25-35 WCF Metal Condition: Receiver has small protected areas of blue, the rest is darkened or worn by age, use and neglect. There is more blue on the barrel, mostly in protected areas, but the magazine tube has faired best with considerable amount of blue remaining. Wood Condition: Wear and tear, scraped, gouged, scratched and dinged all over both, with an exuberant amount of gloss finish covering all that is present. And, there is a crack on the left side of the forend, before and after the barrel band. Bore Condition: Greyed bore. There is heavy rust frosting from the chamber to the muzzle, which scored the surface metal throughout the rifling, affecting both lands and grooves and yet there are no pits! Barrels: 20" Barrel with full length magazine tube. Triggers: Single. Stock: Gumwood butt-stock and has a custom diamond shaped piece of walnut which was handfitted into the left side. Stock Dimensions: 13" Length or pull. Fore End: Walnut forend. Butt Pad: Metal butt plate. Weight: 6 1/2 Lbs. Sights: Barrel mounted square lug and a small pinned blade with a silver bead front sight, and a rear tang mounted combination peep sight. The rear dovetailed barrel sight is missing, but it's base remains, sort of acting as a plug in the dovetail cut-out. Item Location: Boise, ID |
