This is a very early Belgium FN manufactured bolt rifle in 250-3000. A pretty rare chambering for these, I think. The gun has the C Ring breech, which was only produced for a short while. The bore is very good and the rifle is clean overall. There is a cutout for a receiver sight on the right side, as shown in the pictures. It doesn’t appear from the metal that one was ever mounted, however. The condition of the bolt face suggests it has not been fired very much. At some point the toe of the stock was repaired, just ahead of the butt-plate. The plate is not cracked however. You can see the dark area of the repair in the pictures. Of course that doesn’t effect functioning in any way. There are no other repairs or cracks that I can find. The trigger is excellent and marked “Blackburn.” I have included this under "Browning Rifles" as well as "FN Rifles" because FN made the Browning guns prior to their move to Japan manufacture, and this is similar to the early examples.
