Description: Ruger Red Label 28 Gauge O/U 99% General Specs: Ruger, Year 1998, 28 Gauge, 6lbs 3oz, Over Under Serial Number: 420-07485 The Ruger Red Label was an affordable, sturdy, well made gun that is a delight to carry afield with its rounded action and light weight of 6lbs. 3oz. balanced dead on the hinge pin. This Ruger is built in the hard to find 28ga. with versatile screw-in chokes, much nicer than average wood figure, and no alterations since leaving the factory with the exception of light field use wear. The Ruger Red Label is known as a rugged gun with plain but attractive features. The single selective trigger is easy to manipulate and always reliable. The desirable 28” barrels on this gun have mirror bores and come with one screw-in choke in Skeet, the other in Improved Cylinder. Screw-in chokes of any constriction your heart desires are readily available. The gun is in excellent mechanical condition, with strong well-timed ejectors, crisp trigger, and a lock up that is tight as new. The nicely figured wood has just a few very light handling marks and the stock dimensions (shown below) are good for most modern shooters.
