This listing ends June 24th and I will not relist it.
What I can tell you is that the serial number is 35234 and all numbers that I can see match with the exception of the wooden shoulder stock/case. I am fairly sure that it is chambered for a 7.63. There are 27 lines in the grip. One websight has it at a 1904 manufacture date. 50-1000 meter rear sight. I would estimate the finish on this gun to be at 98%. The only blimish on the gun is slight wear on the blue where it rubbed on the wood shoulder stock/case. My main question is, just what does the "1" marking on the left side boss mean?
I was told the following by a dealer: WWI German gun. Marking on the right side of the slide was used between 1914 and 1918. NS marking on the hammer was introduced in 1915. He thinks that is was in the RED 9 range of serial numbers in WWI Germany assigned to the army. I was also told that the "1" marking on the left side is very unusual.
I am interested in selling the gun but will not price it correctly until I know and confirm what the "1" marking is. If you have any knowledge or know someone that does, please share it with me. I know this might be a little unusual, but I want to know just what I have.
