WW2 OR WWII SMITH & WESSON U.S. VICTORY MODEL .38 SPECIAL D.A. REVOLVER, CIRCA 1941. Serial number "V1817XX". Blued 4" models were for plainclothed Defense Contractors, MP's, etc. prior to our initial involvment in the War effort. They lack U.S. Property markings and inspector's stamps and are essentially an M&P Model 1905 4th change hand ejector with lanyard rings in the blue. This particular one being professionally refinished at some point with original stamps still crisp. 100% blue remaining. Original military uncheckered wood grips and screw correct. Original case colors on trigger and hammer. Reblue probably an US arsenal job. Rare early blue Victory model before hammer transfer bar upgrade.
