COLT LIGHTNING MEDIUM FRAME .44-40 CAL. MAGAZINE RIFLE CA. 1890. 26” round barrel stamped at top of breech “44 CAL.” and forward of the rear sight with the Colt “HARTFORD” address and the 1883, 1885, 1886 and 1887 patent dates. Original front and rear sights. Left side of frame stamped with the “RAMPANT COLT” logo. All original and in very good condition with the frame, barrel and magazine tube skillfully polished to bright. Tang sight tap hole screw missing. Stock and slide handle with the original finish. Wrist of stock with reinforcing screws added. Perfect working order and excellent bore.
