Description:
Genuine Pre War Winchester model 70 Carbine in 30-06 caliber. S/N 36*** with matching bolt Mfg. 1937. 20" Barrel with positively integral front ramp. Undrilled rear receiver bridge. Overall condition is quite nice showing a light 80 year patina and a small non structural crack in end grain of fore end. I would rate about 96% overall. Bore is excellent. All mechanical functions are smooth and in proper working order as well.
Quality Model 70 Carbines with non contrived short barrels are tough to find. This one is legitimate and in very good condition.
