CIVIL WAR WICKHAM U.S. MODEL 1816 H & P PERCUSSION RIFLED MUSKET CA. 1861. .69 cal. rifled 42” barrel. Most converted under contract with Hewes & Phillips of Newark, N.J. for the State of New Jersey in early 1861. Excellent example and 100% original and complete. Lock with “US/WICKHAM” and “PHILA/1834” stamps from the flint era. Barrel stamped at breech with a large “F” and the bolster stamped “9”. Fine metal overall with grey patina. Stock in excellent condition with light wear and the original finish. Sight and nipple with the original blue. Excellent bore and working order.
