CIVIL WAR HARPERS FERRY U.S. MODEL 1842 PERCUSSION MUSKET DATED 1851. .69 caliber smoothbore 42” barrel. All original Harpers Ferry with barrel dated 1846. Lock which is dated 1851 is original and a perfect fit showing same wear and is a probable period replacement. Excellent overall with fine marking and crisp metal with original grey patina. Excellent screws. Stock with the original patinated finish and a visible faint cartouche. Name “T. W. Farrell” carved on butt. Appears completely original to the period of use. Excellent bore and working order. Reproduction leather sling. Very nice looking.
