Description:
Philadelphia AH Fox "A" grade 12 gauge. This gun was recently restored with bone charcoal case colors, rust blued barrels, hot blued furniture, and hand rubbed oil stocks. Desireable deep relief engraving is all sharp and intact. Immaculate shiny bores show no pits, dents, rust or bulges. 28" barrels choked M/F, with original 2 1/2" chambers and ancient ivory sighting bead. 14 3/4" and 13 3/4" LOP over new vintage style solid recoil pad. surprisingly modern 1 9/16" DAC. This gun weighs in at a pleasant 6 lbs, 15 ozs. All numbers match. The head of the stock is glass bedded to the frame to guard against future damage. Action opens smoothly and locks up tight with top lever right of center. This Fox represents a very nice example of a fully restored classic, graded American double that can be taken afield and used without hesitation or guilt with 2 1/2" RST loads. 3 day non-shooting, non-disassembly inspection period runs from delivery to FFL. $60 insured priority mail shipping to lower 48.
