A beautiful custom Model 70 made by Lenard Brownell of Sheridan, Wyoming for prominet outdoor author Robert Chatfield-Taylor. Stunning California walnut stock with superb ribbon pattern. Buttplate, floor plate and trigger guard engraved by Alvin White. Finely checkered four (4) panel bolt knob. Caliber: 270 WCF. Serial No.: 476044. A great rifle made in the early 60's by one of the very finest stockmakers featured in the book titled "Checkering and Carving of Gunstocks", pages 178-191. Price Reduced to: $5,800.00 plus S&H.
