Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: The Winchester Model 77 semi-auto .22 rifle was made from 1955 to 1962, with a total of 217,000 made during that 8 year production run. The Model 77 featured a detachable 8-round box magazine or a tube magazine mounted under the 22" inch barrel, a grooved receiver for mounting optics, a forward-mounted bolt handle on the left side of the barrel for easy operation while shouldered, a gloss blue factory finish, and an American Walnut stock. The Model 77 design proved to be a handy, reliable, and accurate .22 repeating rifle that was a fun plinking rifle and an excellent small game rifle. This all original example is serial number 126073, making it's date of manufacture sometime during the late-middle of production in 1960. The high gloss blue finish is beautiful on this Model 77, and rates a solid 95%+. The bore is excellent with no pitting, erosion, or bulges visible, and strong rifling still showing. The original factory Walnut stock is structurally excellent, there are no cracks, repairs, or major damage of any kind. However, this rifle was apparently stored in a crowded safe or closet and there are small dents and shallow scratches all over the stock. As you can see in the pictures, at a distance they are small enough to not be visible, but when examined closely you can see the handling/storage marks on the wood. The original factory Winchester-branded buttplate is still in place and tight to the wood as well. Everything on this rifle works perfectly like the day it left the factory. It is our opinion that this rifle has spent almost it's entire life in storage given the condition of the metal and internals. This Model 77 would be a great addition to any collection and an excellent rifle for plinking and hunting, or this would be a great rifle to introduce a new shooter to semi-automatic rimfire rifles.
