Scarce 1st model Warner Civil War carbine. .50 caliber rimfire. Serial #582. Beautiful untouched brass has a wonderful color. The barrel is smooth with a hint of age brown mixing with dark grey. Mirror-bright bore. Left side of brass frame with clear, strong, full Warner patent markings. The letter "L" appears overall stamped on metal components. Original sight and saddle ring. The wood is very good+ overall with just expected age handling wear. Cartouche is present at left wrist. Mechanics are very good+. An above average, desirable U.S. carbine.
