Late serial number of 577xxx on Colts dates this original nickel finish 5” barreled Army Special to 1927. The cal is marked 32-20 32 WCF The original finish is strong with some very minor pin prick freckles and a little bit of scattered loss. Action locks up tight. Excellent bore. Original wood grips with silver medallions. Strong legible lettering and rampant Colt. The checkering in the grips sows wear constant with the rest of the gun. A very nice late production Army Special (most sites list end of production at 540xxx this is 37xxx beyond) Commercial gun no inspectors or military markings
