Prussian 1889 IOD Presentation Sword
Manufactured by WKC of Solingen and engraved by Gustav Gunther in Metz. Features folding guard with Prussian eagle, composition grip wrapped in wire, cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm II and CH Monogram. Double fuller blade is made of Eisenhauer damascus steel and features guilding with Niello - style ornamentation. Also engraved on the blade are the names Rittler S./L Hofmann. Metz 1895/96. The flip side of the blade contains an engraving of the number "11" along with a crown and an HFB monogram. Symbol may have some relation to the 11th Royal Bavarian Infantry. Comes with original nickle plated sheath.
