Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: Listed for sale is a US Model 1816 Special Contract Musket made by M.T. Wickham that was converted to Percussion sometime probably in the 1840's. This gun has some minor issues, pitting on and in the barrel and on some of the metal parts in some fashion as can be seen in the photos. The action has a hair trigger which will need some adjustment. The barrel has been cut down about 2 inches sometime in the guns history. The stock has been repaired just to the front of the trigger guard and there is a small piece out of the stock near the front. Also the ramrod is too short to work properly but looks good. A good wall hanger but probably not a shooter unless inspected by a good gunsmith. A good source for parts or conversion to a carbine for the right person. SOLD Antique: Yes |
