This is the last year of the Colt 1911 pistols. After 1924 the Colts were known as the 1911 A1 series. Colt produced 4999 1911's in 1924 with a special run for the military of 10,000 pistols that has not been done since 1919. 1925 was the start of the 1911 A1s for the civilian and military. This Colt has the 1911 style appearance and looks. The original grips are fully checkered. These grips are in fine condition with some flattening of various points. The barrel shows very little wear. the barrel lands are sharp and bright. All of the parts are original to this pistol with no alterations. This pistol has the correct two tone civilian high polish magazine. The factory bluing would rate a 97% overall condition. There is some light blue loss in the grip area which prevents it being 99%.
