Remington made the "Nylon Series" of .22 autoloaders from 1959 to 1990. This one was made prior to 1968 because it was made without a serial number, the barrel code "BL" dates it to January of 1964. This brown Nylon 66 is in very good all-original condition. There are a few very small areas of the receiver with evidence of prior surface rust spots and some minor high edge wear on the front sight but otherwise the factory blue finish still looks great. As you can see in the pictures the overall look of the rifle is still very clean. The bore looks perfect, it is still bright with no pitting or imperfections whatsoever visible. The "Nylon" original stock is in very good shape. It shows some small handling marks but is free from any cracks or repairs. The black forearm tip, pistol grip cap with the Remington name and model, and the buttplate are still intact and tight to the stock, and in excellent condition. The mechanics of this Nylon 66 are in perfect working order and it should still be as accurate, reliable, and fun today as it was 54 years ago. These Nylon 66's seem to be harder and harder to find in good condition and going up in value every year, if you have been looking to add one to your collection this would be a perfect candidate.
